Magno Megonio, produced by the winey Librandi located in Crotone, in the Val di Neto area, its’ an IGT red wine, of character and structure that better represent the regional production. It’s named after a roman centurion that lived in our land and was the first to leave a written trace of viticulture in Calabria.
The Val di Neto is a vast IGT area at both sides of the river Neto and goes from the sea inland. The cultivations are few kilometres far as the crow flies from both the Ionian Sea and the Sila mountains. They are subjected to a greater atmospheric temperature range compared to the coast and have a larger concentration of limestone.
Ruby red wine, the fragrance expresses nice fruity notes that recall cherry, plum, and blackberry. Full, rich and warm to the taste. A good freshness shapes it until the long-lasting persistence in the end.
