The liqueur “Mirto grecanico” is obtained by berries of myrtle (Myrtus communis) picked in the Grecanica area in the province of Reggio Calabria.

An ointment is extracted from the distillation of the leaves and flowers. The liqueur is obtained from the alcoholic infusion of the berries through maceration or steam.
