Description
Il Duca Sanfelice, produced by the factory Librandi in the town of Cirò (province of Crotone), it’s a classic red wine, superior reserve DOC. Obtained from grapes harvested from old vine trees cultivated in the vineyard by the same name. It represents the wine of the tradition of Cirò.
The Cirò is the most important wine-producing area of Calabria. It’s a vast area of millenary tradition, where the plains near the sea and the hillside that gradually raise inland are exposed both to the north and to the south. The soil is of different composition and the weather is generally temperate.
The wine is dark ruby red, the fragrance is fruity and spicy; intense and enhanced by liquorice hints that opens to a full tasting, smooth, sustained by a certain freshness and a good acidity. It closes on nice notes of tobacco and cherry.

Winemaking: in steel thermo conditioned, with 10 days maceration, refining in steel for three years, with a stay in bottle for a few months before selling;
Terrain: clayish – calcareous, small tree;

Classification: Controlled Designation of Origin Cirò;
Best served with: during the entire meal, it gives its best with red meat roasts, game, wild game, braised meat. Excellent with ripen cheese.
