The friselle are local whole wheat discs of twice baked bread, typical of the Calabrian tradition.
The product with the shape of a ring is baked in the oven, later is cut in two before to be put in the oven again to be hardened.
The Friselle are hand-crafted with tasty durum wheat, they are very rustic, and the rise is long and natural. They have a balanced taste and are better consumed after being slightly soaked in cold water.
They can be combined with various food, are better tasted with tomato salads.
Ingredients: Whole Wheat flour, water, salt, sourdough.
